Urban Swank is an online magazine and food blog. We are easily described as the merging of two perspectives, bringing you the world of food, fashion, and travel from two interesting and unique view points. This enables Urban Swank to cover all possible angles of culinary and lifestyle experiences. We want everyone to experience something new; something they may not have been exposed to before.

At Urban Swank, it is not just about the food. It’s the ambiance, the service, the appetizers, the drinks, the socializing, the experience, and everything in between. In addition, Urban Swank can separate good food from great food and we understand that great food must be able to stand alone. Simply put, we are two girls who love great food, great events, and great experiences. 

In regards to fashion and travel, Felice and Shanna have personal knowledge and experience in both industries. Felice has been a personal stylist for over seven years and Shanna has owned her own travel agency for over 10 years. We try to stay in the know, ya know?

Urban Swank was also the recipient of the 2012 Houston Press "Best Food Blog" Award.

Chef, Restaurant, Bartender, and Food Truck Features

If you own a restaurant, are a chef, run a catering company, own a food truck, or are a mixologist/bartender, we would love to hear from you! Urban Swank highlights a different establishment monthly. Giveaways and Contests

Product giveaways are hosted in conjunction with reviews and are encouraged if you are seeking additional exposure for your brand. We host no more than 2 giveaways per month for a period of 1 week. Sponsors are responsible for shipment of prize to the winner within a timely manner. Contest winners are selected randomly.

There are several reasons for that. For one, our article schedule depends on the time sensitive nature of the topic/content. Our articles are typically published with the following priority: Events, Restaurant Reviews, then Video Features. Depending on our queue, a restaurant review may take up to 8 weeks to be published.

On another note, if significant time has passed and we have not written about a restaurant, we probably had a bad meal or a bad experience and those reviews have no place on Urban Swank. We are all about sharing great meals and even better experiences!

However, there are times when we plan to visit an establishment multiple times prior to writing our review. When in doubt, don't assume...just ask. :)
